Bring the concept of smart energy to life in an exciting place where abstract concepts become real...the ComEd Community Center in Chicago. ComEducation is a program that opens the doors of ComEd facilities to teach valuable lessons on the future of energy including learning how Smart Meters and the Smart Grid can put energy in the hands of our communities like never before! The exhibit "Our Energy, Our Future" is a self guided, interactive educational experience with easy-to-use displays and education programs that allow everyone to learn about the many elements of energy and the path to clean energy. This center also demonstrates the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in our worforce and the communities we serve, while focusing on our commitment to STEM and development of future energy professionals.

Supports STEM Initiatives
The lessons, discussions, and activities throughout this experience support a STEM-based curriculum by emphasizing key concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

The Community Center experience is best for groups of up to 35 students with 1 chaperone per 6 students.
