Explorers (PreK - 5th)

The many sights, sounds, scents, textures, and flavors of the supermarket come to life in this hands-on journey around our store. Children will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look of the various departments in the supermarket while participating in educational activities that stimulate their senses and curiosity. After exploring the store, participants will have a chance to sample a tasty treat that they helped to create!

 

Mystery Tours (Grades 2nd - 4th)

This engaging tour was developed by the Weis Dietitians to teach children the benefits of making healthy food choices and being physically active. Tour participants literally put on their detective hats as they review the facts of the case, search for clues, and solve the mystery to help Energetic George regain his energy. By reading nutrition labels and sampling new foods, students will uncover a lifetime of healthy eating habits. 


Did you know Weis has an exclusive Mystery Tours & Explorers badge for scout troops? If you would like badges for your scouts please email fieldtrips@weismarkets.com with your mailing address, number of badges you need and the type of field trip your group completed.

Age Range & Duration

 

Explorers: PreK- 5th Grade

 

Mystery Tours: 2nd - 4th Grade

 

All field trips are between 60-90 minutes (depending on your students' age and group size)

 

Group Size Limit

 

6 - 25 Students

If your group is bringing siblings along, please include in your total student count on the booking form and make a note in Group Information so that the field trip leader is aware ahead of time.

FREE   (You are responsible for transportation for your group to/from the event location)

Code of Conduct:

• Please let FTF know if you cannot make the scheduled day/time.

• Please make sure that you have at least 1 adult chaperone for every 8 students in your group AND that chaperones are ready to help the field trip leader if needed.

• Please call FTF with special requests - Do NOT add them in notes where they may go unseen by the store contact.

• Please arrange transportation to avoid last-minute conflicts and cancellations.

• If siblings are attending with your group, please make a note in the Group Information on the booking form to let your field trip leader know in advance.
