"I liked the hands on approach to the trip.  I know the kids enjoyed tasting foods they are familiar with.  It kept them interested in the content of the trip. Having them checkout at the end was a great way to wrap up the tour."
Mel Miller, Kindergarden Teacher

"This was by far an incredible experience which the kids all enjoyed!  I'd highly recommend others to attend this field trip in the future!!  The kids had so much fun and I loved the fact that they were able to taste test some of the foods!"

Educational Content:

Trained tour leaders modify the field trips to be grade appropriate.

For Primary Students: (K - 2nd)
Field trips focus on portion size, quick tips for meals and eating healthy all day long. The Be A Smart Shopper! field trip teaches fundamental concepts about food, healthy nutrition and the grocery store. In addition, the students will learn that the combination of healthy eating and fitness are essential to a healthy lifestyle. Classroom ideas relating to color, texture, shapes and numbers are brought to life throughout the tour.

For Intermediate Students: (3rd - 6th)
Field trips emphasize higher-level thinking and decision making related to nutrition and shopping. Students gain a greater understanding of the relationship between every day eating habits and fitness that is necessary for a healthy lifestyle.
